I’m a writer based in London. I have a postgraduate degree in Art History from the University of Cape Town and another in English Literature from the University of Witwatersrand, as well as an MA in Creative Writing (fiction) from the University of East Anglia.

My articles, essays and reviews have featured in Al Jazeera, The Mail&Guardian, Review 31, Shooter Literary Magazine, National Geographic Traveller (South Africa), Real Simple, Seventeen, Scouting Magazine, and An Illustrated History of American Fruits & Nuts, amongst other publications.

I’ve worked in education, restaurants and the art world. For a stint I ran croissant baking courses. Alongside a group of other South Africans who love the city of Johannesburg too, I started the Postcard Revival, a project which created a limited edition collection of postcards featuring artists’ impressions of the city.
